The Brisbane Heat have thanked their loyal fans at The Gabba after a summer that saw the club attract its highest Big Bash League attendance in more than eight years.

A huge 150,141 fans attended their five Gabba home games, the most since 2017-18 and the second highest crowd total in the BBL this summer.

The home games saw an average attendance of 30,028 with their final round game drawing 32,401, the third sold-out game in a row at the Gabba.

Crowds at The Gabba were treated to four thrilling home wins and witnessed the highest successful run chase in BBL history in their epic victory over the Perth Scorchers.

Brisbane Heat CEO Terry Svenson said the Heat’s standing as one of Australia's leading sports brands continues to flourish.

“The Heat have provided some epic and memorable highlights for the fans across the summer,” Mr Svenson said.

“It’s been enormously rewarding to see so many families enjoying themselves at The Gabba over the summer holidays.”

The Heat’s surging popularity rounds out a successful summer of cricket at The Gabba, which included Australian victory at The Ashes, claiming the record for the highest attended 4-day Test at The Gabba, and the second highest Test attendance in Gabba history with 137,152.
