Brisbane Lions – Pride of The Gabba!

01/10/2025

The Brisbane Lions have claimed victory over the 2025 AFL season and back-to-back premiership wins, following a dominant 122-75 win over the Geelong Cats in the AFL Grand Final, and The Gabba is proud to have played its part in supporting the team’s success.

As the home of the Brisbane Lions, The Gabba played host to 11 regular season games and one sold-out semi-final against Gold Coast Suns – the biggest Q-Clash game in AFL history. The Q-clash saw a record crowd of 36,628 and resulted in the Brisbane Lions being catapulted in the Grand Final for the third year in a row.

The team scored a total 1,042 points at The Gabba this year in front of passionate and packed home crowds.

A total of 373,211 patrons flooded through the gates of The Gabba to cheer on the Lions, adding to the electric energy that has become synonymous with the team’s home games.

The Gabba Operations Manager Zoe Cunningham said it’s great to see Brisbane Lions claim back-to-back flags.

“The Gabba has a long history with the Brisbane Lions and it’s fantastic to see the team’s meteoric rise to claim a second premiership this year,” Ms Cunningham said.

“We’re happy to have set the scene for every home game this season and support the club through another incredible year.”
